My enthusiasm for baking hasn’t necessarily waned; it’s more that I’ve found the ceremony of bringing all of my ingredients from their various positions in places other than cupboards and cabinets to be entirely too laborious for me to continue doing on a regular basis. After this past Xmas, however, it’s good to know I’ve still got the touch.
